Dr. John A. Shultz
The city of Katano has produced this very slick bilingual guide to holy sites in the area of Katano and Hirakata.

KGU students are encouraged to get out and explore some of these gems so close to our campus. My personal favorite is a hike to the huge footbridge, Hoshino no Buranko (Amanogawa Pilgrimage #2), followed by the rock cave training of Iwafune Shrine (Spiritual Gigantic Stone #7).  The latter requires a legal waiver from the Shinto priest of the shrine, so it is better to have a Japanese friend come along.

Be safe and have fun exploring.
