This video and the accompanying article present a very interesting area of fitness research. The argument is essentially that overheating of the body and muscles during exercise is the greatest impediment to athletic performance and recovery. By using an ingenious suction cooling glove, researchers have been able to boost athletic performance to a degree greater than that found with the use of steroids. I have been following fitness research casually for about five years, and I haven't seen anything to rival this research for both promise and originality. Let's keep an eye on this as it develops.
